Spooky Cemetarium

Saturday, September 21st @ 12:00 pm

Second class added by popular demand! Create your own mini-Cemetery from an 8″ Terrarium globe. A project for all ages that’s perfect for the upcoming spooky season. Includes all supplies, instruction and decorations (low maintenance, as only preserved plants will be used in this creation!).

Rustic Fall Planter

Saturday, September 21st @ 11:00 am

Join us for a relaxing and easy way to dress up your pot for the Fall and Holiday season!
Using large pine bark nuggets and breathable terracotta, we will create a rustic-chic planter (or 2!) to use on your outdoor patio or indoor displays.
Cost is $15 for instructions and supplies + plus the cost of your size choice of pot.

Succulent Pumpkins

Saturday, October 5th @ 11 am

Succulent pumpkins make a wonderful, long-lasting fall centerpiece for your Thanksgiving tablescape or holiday haunt, and can also be used outside to decorate the front steps of your home. And, when Pumpkin Season is over, you can plant your creation in soil, to make a thriving succulent garden to add to your houseplant collection!
$10 for class registration and supplies, plus the cost of your choice of pumpkin size.

Terrarium Workshop

Saturday, October 19th @ 11am

No green thumb or prior experience required! This class is hands on, so be prepared to get a little dirty. This workshop provides step-by-step instructions for creating and caring for your terrarium plants, and all supplies. Includes an 8″glass globe, choice of plants, soils, decorative materials, and care instructions.

Pumpkin Carving

Family Carving
Sunday, October 27 th 2 pm - 4 pm

Join us on Sunday, October 27th at Gateway Garden Center for a festive afternoon of pumpkin carving and seasonal treats. Unleash your creativity as you transform ordinary pumpkins into spooky, whimsical, or intricate masterpieces. We provide the pumpkin, tools and supplies. You supply the fun! So, gather up your family and friends and get into the autumn spirit.
Cost: $27 per pumpkin. All Supplies and light refreshments provided.

Orchid Care

Join us in this one-hour instructional class to discover the ins-and-outs of orchid care, from watering and fertilizing, to repotting successfully, without damaging roots.

Orchid Kokedama

Saturday, November 9th @ 11:15 am

The Kokedama art form originated in Japan centuries ago and is akin to Bonsai.
In this workshop we will create your statement piece with a preformed moss ball and your choice of Phalaenopsis Orchid, creating a colorful and easy-care addition to your house plant collection. All supplies, plant, moss ball, watering tray, stones and care instructions are included.

Pinecone Chandelier Workshop

Saturday November 16th @ 11 am

Create a hanging pinecone decoration for indoors or out. Using large sugar cones, greens, ribbons, and your choice of holiday decorations, these chandeliers will beautify any entryway, porch, or home, for the long winter season ahead. Design staff will be available to assist with construction and design to create the perfect pinecone chandelier!
$10 + cost of materials.
 
*Minimum cost of materials expected to cost approximately $40.00. However, to let you create a unique chandelier that suits your favorite style, additional festive décor, such as berries, larger bows, baubles, and picks, will be available for purchase.

Seasonal Swag for Bird Lovers

Sunday November 17th 2pm - 3pm

Charles from Wild Birds Unlimited is teaming up with Gateway Gardens to join us in our “Seasonal Swags for Bird Lovers Workshop!” He will be giving an informational talk about Birds in Winter: Which birds might visit your feeders, what to feed them, and what they require to get through the cold nights, all while you create a festive swag that suits you and your birding delights.

Cost $47. Includes all supplies and instruction, mixed greens, decorative accents, bow and suet cage or roosting hut.

Harvest to Holiday Porch Pots

Two classes - Saturday November 23rd @ 11 am and Sunday November 24th @ 2 pm

Spruce up your outdoor holiday décor with a stunning porch pot! This DIY workshop includes pot sleeve, soil, seasonal greens, pinecones and hands on instruction from our talented designers. Create a unique pot that suits your favorite style!
Additional festive décor, such as berries, bows, baubles and picks, will be available for purchase.
Cost $50 plus cost of extra decorative materials.
